Following a recent policy committee, the French Microfinance Gateway “lamicrofinance.org”, has reported positive results of its operations in 2011 and announces a new sponsor: the French Development Agency (AFD).
Among the achievements, a strong growth in attendance (+32% since 2010). In November 2011, the portal has reached a record 33,000 visitors. As from 2012, the portal will also receive funding from AFD for a period of 3 years.
Lamicrofinance.org, which offers a range of services for microfinance professionals, aims to be the most complete microfinance information source in French on the web. Over 1,500 documents are referenced in its library; 25 country profiles and 13 thematic files can be browsed online for free. The last thematic file was released in November 2011.
