The ‘Agence de Transfert de Technologie Financière’ (ATTF) organised in collaboration with ADA and the ‘Association des Professionnels du Risk Management’ (PRiM), a workshop called ‘Excellency in risk management’ from 4th to 8th November 2011 in Luxembourg.
20 managers from the most important microfinance institutions in the world participated in this workshop, purposely designed for mature institutions that already have their own risk management department or are about to create it.
The 4 day training, based on the expertise developed within the Luxembourgish financial market, allowed for the executive managers of microfinance institutions to share their experience with professional risk management experts from the banking sector. The participants declared that they acquired a lot of practical knowledge during the training, which will permit them to improve their efficiency and help encourage the work which was already underway within their institution.
The workshop “Excellency in risk management” ended with a ceremony where certificats were distributed to all the participants. Josée Thyes, administrative Director of the ATTF, Paul Kleinbart, member of PRiM’s Board, Robert Wagener and Axel de Ville, respectively President and Executive Director of ADA, were all present.
