AFRICAN MICROFINANCE TRANSPARENCY FORUM (AMT)

The African Microfinance Transparency Forum (AMT) was founded in 2003 on initiative of ADA with a view to developing the external microfinance institutions performance evaluation and rating market in Africa. The AMT Forum brings together the first African Microfinance Institutions to undergo evaluation with the main rating agencies operating on the African continent.

The main focal points of the AMT Forum are:

  • MFIs growth
  • the establishment of an open and competitive evaluation and ratings market
  • and the credibility of the microfinance sector in Africa
